I SOLD THIS SCOTS PINE TO A FRIEND 3 YEARS AGO AND NOW THE TREE IS BACK IN MY GARDEN (Next 5 pictures)

SCOTS WAS CULTIVATED VERY WELL IN THIS YEARS AND GOT ALSO A FIRST STYLING.

NOW IN THE WORKSHOP IS TIME TO REWIRE IT COMPLETELY AND SHAPE ALL THE NEW GREEN IT MADE DURING THE LAST YEAR.

NOW THE WORK IS DONE , GREEN MORE COMPACT WITH SPACES TO APPRECIATE THE MOVEMENT OF THE TRUNK AND THE DETAILS OF JINS AND BARK.

NEXT STAP WILL BE TO POT IT IN A BONSAI POT TO START WORKING ALSO ON THE ROOT BALL.

Was long time ago that I followed in love with this larch. I was visiting Walter Pall website and found pics of this baby.
Obviously I tried to buy it, but at that time the owner didn’t have the same idea :-)
After more then 4 year, this August, I had the pleasure to be a guest of Walter’s late summer event for a demo. Finally we found an agreement to let this beast come into my garden !

Is always a pleasure to work on such a stunning tree. He is already a long time in a bonsai pot and has a great story to tell us.

I enjoy working on it !!!!!!

Thanks again Walter to let me have it , I will take care of it as promised

The previous development of the tree can be found on:

I was looking for a goud stewartia for my collection for a long time and finally this big one found it’s way to Feltre.
Tree is 90cm tall and nebari is great .
I love also bark and the delicate ramification.

This Month I had the pleasure to be guest with my friends Marco Invernizzi and Carlos Van der Vaart at the National congres in Belgium, this thanks to Frida, that arranged everything for us.
We spent two very good days near Brussel, meeting new and old Bonsai friends, and working on good tree. The Show was realy good and I love to meet soo much enthusiastic bonsai lovers.
We had our demo on Sunday.
Me on a Sabina , Marco on a big Japanese taxus and Carlos on a French scots pine.
Thanks again Frida for everything!!!!!
I got this massive Swiss spruce from my friend Andy. The tree was collected by Serge Clemence and he did the first styling on it.

When I got it in my workshop we started cleaning the branches and we made some shari where the trunk was already dead. This shari gives the tree much more character and take’s away the viewer’s attention from the first part of the trunk that is quite straight.

After that the tree, was repotted because was it so long in the same big pot . Nothing is cutted on the root ball just a couple of big old roots were carved a bit to make the repot in the new tokoname easier.

Now is time for the restyling .
We need to make as much green pads as we can in the left to cut the straight movement of the trunk with some green masses and bring the focus to the top shari and to the nice twisted jins that are on the right .

Here a couple of final images of the tree with the guys that always help me working. Now the tree is more dynamic and the dead part has much more focus than the trunk . Next year we’ll work with the new vegetation in making more dense pads.
